Rob Altman’s life has been defined by one simple principle — when duty calls, you answer.
At just 19, Altman joined the United States Army, beginning a journey of more than 25 years that took him from enlisted Soldier to commissioned officer. He led various teams through multiple combat deployments, serving with distinction in some of the most demanding environments in the world.
Throughout his military career, Altman learned what leadership truly means: taking care of people, staying accountable, & doing what’s right even when no one is watching. Those same lessons continue to guide his life & leadership today.
A Proud Texan & Aggie
Rooted in the Bryan–College Station community, Altman & his family consider it home. A proud Aggie & graduate of Texas A&M University, he remains deeply involved with his community, supporting local veterans, mentoring young leaders, & partnering with business owners to strengthen Texas’s economy.
He often says that being an Aggie isn’t just about a diploma, it’s about commitment to service, respect for others, & living with purpose. Altman believes those same principles are what make Texas strong.

After retiring from active duty, Altman continued his service in a new way, helping strengthen American businesses & create opportunities for working families.
Today, he serves in a senior leadership role, where he brings the same discipline, teamwork, & mission-first mindset that shaped his years in uniform.
Whether on the battlefield or in business, Altman’s approach has always been rooted in service, empowering people, solving problems, & building a stronger future.

Faith & family are at the heart of everything Altman does. He & his wife, Shelley, a native Texan, are proud parents to two children, both building their own paths rooted in hard work & faith.
Altman’s Christian faith has always been his compass, guiding his leadership & decision-making. He believes America’s greatness comes from the strength of its families, the resilience of its people, & the freedom that allows every citizen to thrive.

Now, as he steps forward to serve again, Altman is answering a new call to duty, one that demands integrity, courage, & conviction.
He’s running for Congress to restore trust, strengthen opportunity, & put America first, ensuring that the next generation inherits a nation worthy of their pride & sacrifice.
